Students who are terminated for attendance violations may appeal only if they feel
their program attendance policy was not administered equitably to all students.
These students must present evidence that this is the case in order to schedule
an appeal. The appeal committee will support appropriate implementation of each
program's attendance policy. Requests for a hearing must be made within three (3)
days of the termination. The appeal should be scheduled through the Vice President
of Academic Affairs or Campus Operations. The student will then be informed as to
whether or not he/she is to return to class until the hearing. This hearing committee
will have access to the student's prior attendance records and information as needed
to make a fair decision regarding the case.
